Week 17 corresponds very closely with Week 16, Day 4 ( particularly, Module 14.5).
Mod 14.5 is a very brief, 4-sentence overview/plan for the essay.
It tells what each body paragraph will be about.
It gives a strong statement for the introduction paragraph, too.
Therefore, if Mod 14.5 needs work, please focus on that before writing the essay.
Broad Shouldered Opinion Statement
Some examples:
- St. Maximilian Kolbe is my favorite saint because his life story is both heroic and tragic at the same time.
- My favorite saint, Nicholas of Myra, never had any children of his own, yet he is revered among children around the world because of the special concern that he demonstrated toward young people.
Module 14.7 Outline / Overview of Your Essay
Each outline must have 5 paragraphs, labeled.
The outline doesn't have to be written using full sentences.
Just make brief mention of the reasons.
For your essay, however please use full sentences.
This section serves as help for both the outline and the full essay!

- My broad shouldered opinion statement about saint is the LAST sentence in the intro.
- Several sentences describing my first reason why this saint is my favorite.
- See Mod 14.5 to remember the first reason that you gave.
- This reason will probably include a brief re-telling of a story about this saint.
- Familiarize your reader with the story, then tell why it is important to you!
- Several sentences describing my second reason why this saint is my favorite.
- See Mod 14.5 to remember the second reason that you gave.
- This reason will probably include a brief re-telling of a story about this saint.
- Familiarize your reader with the story, then tell why it is important to you!
- Several sentences describing my third reason why this saint is my favorite.
- See Mod 14.5 to remember the third reason that you gave.
- This reason will probably include a brief re-telling of a story about this saint.

This will help you as you write your 3 body paragraphs.
Use a thesaurus if necessary to choose very descriptive, interesting details.

Module 14.11
After you write your introduction and 3 body paragraphs, ask 1-2 people to read your paragraphs. Ask them the questions listed in Mod 14.11, and list a few additional questions.
