WIR2 Homework – Week 19
(as listed on the schedule in your book)
If you have some poetry books at home, spend some time looking through them for examples of lyrical poetry. Bring them to class next time to share.
Homework due February 6th includes the following:
1. Complete: -All assignments listed for Week 19 above and on the schedule in your book.
2. Be sure you have finished module 8.16
3. Put your books and folders in our class bin (or on the counter) in the basement kitchen before first hour next Wednesday.
Notes:
This week, spend some time daydreaming! As your book says, close your eyes and think about some of your favorite memories. You can also spend some time talking with your family about favorite things you have done together. These activities will help your mind to generate ideas for this week’s assignments.
Module 9.10 - Read the directions on the bottom of page 262 carefully. Notice that the questions for filling out the chart on page 264 are at the top of page 263.
Module 9.12 – Be sure to set your writing aside for a day between your first and second drafts!
Module 9.13 – Consult a rhyming dictionary if you get stumped. Here are a few to try:

For you Princess Bride Fans…
Inigo Montoya: That Vizzini, he can fuss.
Fezzik: Fuss, fuss… I think he like to scream at us.
Inigo Montoya: Probably he means no harm.
Fezzik: He’s really very short on charm.
Inigo Montoya: You have a great gift for rhyme.
Fezzik: Yes, yes, some of the time.
Vizzini: Enough of that.
Inigo Montoya: Fezzik, are there rocks ahead?
Fezzik: If there are, we all be dead.
Vizzini: No more rhymes now, I mean it.
Fezzik: Anybody want a peanut?
