WIR2: Week 8 Homework
Wow! This is it. It’s time to organize all those notes and put them to work. Your rough draft is due Wednesday, October 31st.
1. Complete the assignments shown in the Daily Schedule for week 8 at the top of this page before writing your rough draft. Don’t wait until the last minute!
2. Follow the Drafting Process laid out for you on page 102 of your textbook.
3. Check off: Boxes on your Daily Schedule and on your module 4 checklist (pgs.)

As usual, our homework crate will be downstairs near the kitchen. Drop your book and all your work (Put your name is on everything) in our crate before your first class on Wednesday.
If you are in Chemistry, please pick up your book after class to take with you up to Writing Class.

Notes:
- In Module 4.7, make a list of the illustrations you will use in your report. Tell briefly what the illustration is, and where it is found.
- Your report will be in question and answer format. Write your preliminary questions in module 4.4. Pay close attention to the expert models found throughout Unit 1.
- Include: one or two direct quotations (see module 3.9.) paraphrases, and summaries. Use in-text citations where necessary. These were covered in module 3.5.
- Write in your own words making connections to show what you have learned.
- Add illustrations. Write captions and include proper citations (see module 4.7.)
- Ask your friends and family to read your report and tell you what they think. Ask the questions found in module 4.8. Take notes on their responses. You will be revising your paper for a final draft next week.
