all except the Unit 3 Review/Test, which we will do in class next week.
Your biggest assignment of the week:
Final Draft of your My Family Hall of Fame biography.
Specifics about length of assignment:
3 paragraphs, minimum. More is preferable!
Number of sentences per paragraph is your grade number (6th grade; 6 sentences) or higher.
How to make your final draft amazing:
Revising Your Assignments:
Revise each paragraph.
Revise each sentence.
Look at each word and consider revising it.
Paragraphs:
Every paragraph needs one main subject, story or main point.
If 2 paragraphs have the same point, combine them.
Every paragraph needs a topic sentence (see below if you need help with topic sentences).
Every sentence after the topic sentence must agree with, enhance and support the main point.
Sentences:
Try to avoid short, choppy sentences.
Try to write longer, descriptive, sentences that create images in the reader's mind.
A longer, more beautifully written piece of work really honors and celebrates your relative.
Words:
Specific nouns.

- Remember to CELEBRATE your family member!
- Make your family member's life story memorable.
- Try to put a little extra effort into this assignment for the sake of your relative.
- it is OK (not mandatory) if you would like to do some extras for this assignment, including:
- include images and photos for clarification
- have a cover/title page for your biography
- have a special report cover
- any other special detail that you would like to add
